Message from the Principal - March 2024

Hi Mudbug Families,

It is hard to believe that March is already here. It won’t be long before the warm weather is here to stay and the end of year madness begins! Our spring parent-teacher conferences are scheduled for Friday, March 22, 2024. This presents a great opportunity to discuss your child’s progress in school. As you are aware, home-school communication is an important factor in your child’s success in school. Especially as we enter this final stretch of the school year. Parent Teacher Sign Ups for this day will be sent home next week. Please take advantage of this opportunity. We look forward to seeing you in a few weeks!

Additionally, information regarding the state department's Bulletin 1566 regarding pupil progression for 3rd and 4th graders was sent home earlier this year. This mandate that requires 3rd and 4th grade students who score below grade level on an end of year literacy assessment will be required to attend 30 hours of summer literacy interventions with explicit targeted literacy instruction. Further explanation will be provided by teachers to parents for at-risk students in this area at parent teacher conferences.

We look forward to a Marvelous March ahead!
