Ascension Students Maintain Top-Level Growth
Donaldsonville, La. – Ascension Parish Public School students continue to raise the bar in high stakes testing, according to a recent report released by the Louisiana Department of Education.
The state reports indicate how well a student has mastered the state content standards on the iLEAP, LEAP and GEE tests. Students receive one of the following five achievement ratings: Advanced, Mastery, Basic, Approaching Basic, and Unsatisfactory. Donaldsonville, La. - The Ascension Parish School System has increased its District Performance Score (DPS) for 2007-2008 by one and a half points, moving upward to 99.8 and ranking it among the top 10 school districts in the state, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.
